Is 3 Meals a day Good or Bad or Somewhere Between – Dr. Becky Gillaspy Investigates

Dr. Becky Gillaspy’s video states that eating three meals a day has been an ingrained part of many cultures for so long that it may seem strange to veer away from this path.

She states: It is true that eating frequently does boost your metabolism, and breakfast is often considered the most important meal of the day. However, if the meals consist of unhealthy foods such as refined cereals, fast food burgers and fries, and pasta with bread, it is not beneficial for your body or metabolism.

Doctor Becky claims this type of eating pattern has contributed to the obesity epidemic and poor health in Western society. To combat this, reducing your eating to two meals a day and making whole food choices can be beneficial for your health. This can help to stabilize blood sugar levels and make one feel less hungry throughout the day.

Dr Becky advises that when eating two meals a day, it is important to ensure that you are eating the right foods, such as lean proteins, complex carbohydrates, and healthy fats. Eating two meals a day can also help to prevent overeating, promote weight loss, and improve your overall health.
